Peat Diable Solicitors
Our Complaints Policy
At Peat Diable Solicitors, we are committed to providing high-quality legal advice and client care. If you are unhappy about any aspect of the service you have received, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards
How to Make a Complaint
If you have a concern, please contact Erica Peat, who is the individual at this firm responsible for handling complaints. You can do this by letter or email.
What Will Happen Next?
Investigation: Once we receive your complaint, Erica Peat will fully investigate the matter. This involves reviewing your file and speaking with the specific individuals responsible for your case.
Timeline: We anticipate that a full investigation will take up to 21 days.
Response: We aim to provide you with a full written response within those 21 days. If the investigation requires more time, we will write to you to explain why and provide a new estimated date for completion.
Findings: Our response will detail our findings.
If your complaint is justified, we will suggest ways to rectify the situation or discuss voluntary compensation.
If we find the complaint is not justified, we will explain why and still offer suggestions to address your concerns, such as potentially changing the solicitor or barrister assigned to your case.
The Legal Ombudsman
If we are unable to resolve your complaint within our own internal timescales, or if you are dissatisfied with our final response, you have the right to take your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman.
